iVolunteer Philippines is run 100% by volunteers with full time day jobs! It is a testament that if you want to help, there is no reason not to start now with what you can offer. We are guided by our values which are also our hope for the volunteer sector.

Our Humble Beginnings

2009

Our story started during the Typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy). Big media foundations were overflowing with volunteers and were already rejecting them while smaller NGOs didn't have access to enough volunteers because people didn't know where to find the latter. That's when we decided to start promoting volunteerism by making it easy and accessible for everybody.

2011

We met the original group of iVolunteer. They used to run www.ivolunteer.net.ph which is the Philippines' first volunteerism portal created in 2001. After more than ten years, the trademark of iVolunteer brand was handed over by the original iVolunteer group to the current group and the idea of volunteer matching facility took a rebirth in 2011.

2013 - 2021

iVolunteer put more focus on volunteer education and launched various programs targeting individuals at different stages of their volunteering — Start Your Adventure, GO! Volunteer Expo, BayaniRun: Fun Run For A Cause, DestiNasyon: Finding Your Advocacy, iVolunTree for Christmas (formerly Operation Christmas Elf), and the Social Innovation Challenge.

2022 - 2023

The journey to reach more Filipinos continued and the first geographic expansion happened in Davao with a dedicated team handling engagements in Mindanao.

Today.

iVolunteer Philippines continues its mission of inspiring every Filipino to have a lifestyle of volunteering. We thrive with small contributions of many passionate individuals. We network; we tell our friends about volunteerism. This is how we promote the culture: one person at a time.

If you are part of an institution where you want to engage your members to volunteer, we can organize bespoke activities for you and connect you with our partner non-profit organizations who are needing your support.
